Hoh River Purlieu 2017

Let’s start off the 1st day of fall on the Hoh River and the Olympic National Forest. This is somewhat of a continuation of the Olympic Loop trip that has been enjoyed for the past four years. The difference this year is we will be camping on the Hoh River Friday and Saturday nights. This will let us play around on local forest service roads, visit the beach, check out Forks and just generally have a relaxing Saturday. You can even just spend the day at camp if you like. Sunday we will continue on a section of the Olympic Loop Route.

There are two options for heading over Friday.
First – 9:00 am Meeting in Gig Harbor and drive along Hoods Canal and up the Skokomish River taking the 23 and 22 roads across to Lake Quinault where we rejoin the pavement and drive 101 to the Hoh River. Let me know if you plan on the trip over together and I will send the location.
Second – Join us at your leisure anytime Friday or Saturday at the intersection of Upper Hoh Road and Linder Creek Lane 47.819304, -124.153762 which is across from the Hard Rain Cafe.

We have been offered a field on the Upper Hoh River that is on private land for our campsite which will fit up to 10 rigs.

This is a great trip for some you out there that have been wanting to give overlanding a try as it will be more about the adventure then difficult terrain – although we can make it difficult we y’all like 🙂
