Here, I will attempt to keep photo documentation of my slow build of my new(er) JKU.

Very nice!  Looks like it already has some modifications done.

Thanks, Greg. Collecting build goodies as we speak. Very excited to get this beast out and about!

What’s all the goodies on it now as it sits?  Doesn’t seem to be the bone stock Sport edition.

    Pro-Comp 18″ alloy faux-beadlocks

    BFG 37/12.5./18 KM2

Fox Nitro external reservoir shocks on all 4 points

    Rubicon Express Superflex suspension kit.

That is how it sits. I am getting my Front Runner platform on next week with my Autohome Airtop after that.

Escape Gear seat covers ordered from South Africa yesterday.

I think I am going to replace headlamps with Vision X LED’s

ARB or Pronghorn front winch bumper.

In the meantime, Comms: Kenwood mobile HAM and set up the navigation. Lots’ to do!

    Nice platform to start with.

Now you’ll learn the true meaning of Jeep – Just Empty Every Pocket. 😉

LOL! Yeah, I am sure. I have enough accessories from the Disco that will give me a good start on this one without going too broke….

But, yeah, we will see about that 🙂

    Blanco Grande 🙂

With the Autohome Airtop on top, he’ll need to start paying attention to overpass heights…

Well, I went out and enjoyed the truck this weekend, so not too many projects got done. Also, dealing with weird blood pressure issues kept me home Sunday, but I managed to get one small project done on Sunday afternoon. On-the-go, grab flashlights for passenger and driver.

    Stay tuned for more!

Yeah, I will have two in the back seats too. Can never have enough LED flashlights floating around…

Ya, they’re inexpensive now, and I swear I can put one or two in the Jeep… And the danged thing eats them! 🙂

    Four… Four might work…

I like the Pronghorn bumpers. Jeff Sikes used them on his awesome JKU as I recall.

Don’t have them myself, but have serious pronghorn lust, no doubt.

Your Fox shocks should be pretty terrific. That guy knows what he’s doing. I understand that the designer of the Fox shocks recently went to work for Teraflex, and is behind their super-duper (EXPENSIVE) shocks.

Teraflex makes some terrific goodies for the JK/JKU series. Worth checking. I’ve got their springs and diff covers on my Jeep.
