I thought it time to start build threads for our local community regarding our current two trucks: 2009 Lexus LX570 (Toyota Land Cruiser sister) and 2006 Chevrolet Silverado dually crew cab long bed. I'm a slow spender but always open to ideas and feedback.

Major modifications have been happening!
Extreme makeover, truck edition. She looks pretty good for a 2006! 9 days, one pair of pants that just needed to be thrown away, countless nitrile gloves, and only three broken tools. Plus, no personal injuries! A shout out to my beautiful bride who was safety supervisor on numerous occasions, plus my daughters who recited emergency protocols. #builtnotbought 7" #bdssuspension#redheadsteeringgears 35"x12.5r20 tires #fuelwheels#kryptonite#kryptoniteproducts center link, tie rods, pitman arm, idler arm, idler arm support, upper and lower ball joints, and upper control arms.
I opened up a can of worms... performance worms. Banks Engineering now has some of our hard-earned cash. We added a cold air intake, SpeedBrake, Economind tuner (+100 hp / 193 lb/ft torque), and Monster Sport Exhaust. The sound, torque, and power are all noticeably improved. Who can spin dually tires from a standstill without a brake stand? This guy :-) I'm spoiled and my list of improvements is growing.
I also found a set of dually rims and tires on Offer Up - 35x12.50r20. I have a 7" BDS lift on backorder. New steering parts are here from Kryptonite (lower ball joints, pitman, idler arms, center link) with upper control arms on backorder.
Now if I could find the right snorkel...
Otherwise the truck is just about where I want it to be.
Here are some photos of the (dirty) tires and wheels just leaning on the stock setup.
I recently added some Herculiner to the topper/canopy to cover scratches, hide a slightly different beige color, and provide a less slippery surface to stand on when loading bikes.
