Hi - I'm looking for advice and trail condition info for the Whiskey Dick Wildlife area. This is a open foothills area bordered by the Columbia River (Wanapum Lake) on the east and the gentle hills coming down from the east side of the Cascades, north of I-90. Looks like some easy two track, with access to the river at Scammon Landing or where Whiskey Dick creek empties into the river. Looking for a one or two night overnight adventure with two stock height SUV's on good AT's. Thanks in advance.

Thanks Dan - the tip on the clay is very helpful - I know just what you mean.
Hey Casey,
Yes, The Whiskey Dick area is generally easy two track and super bumpy/rocky in some places. Generally, you will find that traversing the road down to where Whiskey Dick Creek dumps into Wanapum Lake is moderately easy, however, if it is raining or has rained, take caution on the off camber spots , as the make up of the trail is predominantly clay when wet. Super slippery in spots.
There is a pretty off-camber and steep section of the trail going in to be cautious of, but for the most part it's more remote than difficult.
I have a gpx track for this if you want me to e-mail it to you.
I've been looking at the same area, let me know if you want to add another vehical to your party.
