My son and I attended the first Rocky Mountain Toyota Roundup in Ouray/Ridgeway, CO July 19-22. Previous years was know as the FJ Summit. What a great Mountain & Alpine trails to explore. Due to heavy snow fall, Black Bear Pass was still closed which we were disappointed in...maybe next year will tackle. Imogen Pass had justed opened a few days prior our arrival.

My favorite trail is Imogene Pass between Ouray & Telluride ( 13K+ ft elevation). As well as California / Engineer Pass & Ophir Pass in the Ouray / Silverton area. You cant go wrong with any of those trails. Lots of available camping areas around Ouray.
Ouray is a good base point. If you stay in Ouray check out their city pool... 7 pools, 5 feed by hot springs at different temperatures. Contact the Chamber of Commence / Visitor Center they will send literature. You might also want to check out the Buena Vista, CO area.
Heading to Ouray, CO Monday morning. Attending the Rocky Mountain Toyota Roundup with my son. Scheduled rides are; Imogene Pass which just opened (check out the drone video of Ouray County Road dozer operators clearing the snow from Ouray to the Summit), Hopefully Black Bear will be open for Friday's route and then Alpine Loop on Saturday. Almost all packed up, completed 60K maintenance on the FJ so ready to explore Southwest Colorado 4x4 trails.
Postponed right knee replacment until early August so as not to miss out on RMTR. Got to keep your priorities in focus and in check.
Definently experienced operators... with all the snow how they find the trail and stay on the trail without sliding down. I'll find out on 20th when we do Imogene. I kind of wish I have a GoPro to document.

We've decided on Dinosaur National Monument, the Ouray area, and Mesa Verde. We'll be moving from north to south starting Monday, July 24th.
If you're in the area and see a Mojito JLUR pulling a Patriot camper, give us a holler.
