Having 5-10 gallons is well worth it. We will always be topping off, but in the event you need more, its cheap insurance to bring it.
Ice will be at a premium, so having two Yeti's is great, but I would suggest the frozen water bottle trick. This forum is where you will find the info, just need to ask the questions like you did!
We would love to go! Trying to determine what "extra fuel" may mean. 5 gallon? I already have a pretty big tank but my 15 miles to the gallon is not so great. Having a rough estimate of mileage between civilization (i.e - gas) would be great. Where could I find this info? Also, food storage ... I have 2 Yeti's but no electric fridge.
@T.J. Purdy, we ordered an OutdoorsRV 21dbs. In the arena of offroad adventure trailers, it's huge but in the RV world it's a small couples trailer. For some reason, the pic make it look bigger..........I know, that's what she said....it's a 21 foot trailer.
I am just adding some content to this thread, even though we are talking about it offline.
Is everyone that is signed up ready?!?!?
Do you have any questions about the trip?
Is your vehicle prepared for the long journey. If there are any maintenance issues with your vehicle, now is the time to address them.
Make sure you have plenty of sunscreen, required meds, insurance cards (both medical and automobile). Be prepared to carry extra fuel and water. tires on your vehicle must be in good condition.
Reach out now if you need any help getting prepared. Going downrange like this is a little like getting ready to deploy in the military. Only better :-)
Our destination, The Great basin Desert of Eastern Nevada. Along the way, we will hit Bend, OR, The Black Rock Desert, then we will rendezvous with our friend, Scott Leuthold from 4Xpedition, out of Carefree, AZ. The emphesis will be on exploring and the history of the great Nevada expansion. This trip will be almost completely remote, so plan accordingly.
This trip does have a cost associated with it. The cost covers the organization and leadership of getting to our destination and the highlights in between.
More details to come.

Absolutely open to all levels of driver skills. We will assist drivers if it is necessary, but you will be more focused on enjoying the drive and terrain.
Stock 2 door Jeep (non-Rubicon), again, absolutely. Nevada is a great venue for the common explorer to adventure into uncommon terrain.
Camping gear: anything from a ground tent to an adventure trailer.
You will make memories on this trip that will last forever.

I'm in, just got my vacation bids back and my trailer ordered. Will be able to provide a cooling area with the 17' awning.

Danno
is the ticket price per person or per vehicle?
July is an average month but looks like Tuesdays are the clear winner for UFO sightings.

Hey There,
Contemplating signing up for this trip, but I need a few more details.
Will it be suitable for a novice off-roader?
Will a stock 2dr jeep (non-Rubicon) be sufficient?
What kind of camping gear will be needed?
Thanks!
