Last minute camping trip into the Hoh rain forest area.
Seeing that my Steens trip is no more, I've decide to just stick a little closer to home. I'm going to drag my trailer for some camping and exploring. Heres the open invite if anyone finds themselves in the area. I'll be on 146,460 or message me for my cell#
No pics other than my dog.
Sorry TJ, I was a little vauge on the details but it was this weekend. I just left on friday morning when the Steens trip was supposed to happen. It was not that great of an outing. First the secret spot that was shared with me was occupied (opening day for elk) but I got lucky and found the last free spot in the DNR cottonwood campground. The Cottonwood camp is actually a really nice campground. Lots of space between sites and in the rain forest I got everything set up with the fire going and then it started pouring. I'm not opposed to camping in the rain but I was packed and geared for southern Oregon. It was a great test for the new tent trailer. I stayed dry throughout. Heater works great but the site that I was in turned to a mud pit. I got to play army corp engineer and tried to dig ditches to divert the runoff from the awning....that was a losing battle. Saturday morning I decided to call it. I waited for a short dry spell and shook some water off the tent, packed it away wet and took the long way home.
Specific dates?
