Jeremiah from the meetup in Issaquah last night recommended this App to study and do practice test questions on your phone. I'm going to give it a try to supplement my study guide.
Same here. In the initial stages of getting my license. Thanks for the input. Just got a hold of this from my work radio supplier. I guess this is motivation enough. 🙄
I direct folks I'm working with to the W5YI/Gordon West learning materials. I think they do a great job of putting things in plain english that normal people can understand. Beyond QRZ.com try AA(PW.com as well. Simon has several formats of tests you can use that will give you feedback on the questions you miss and the sections you need to study. I have helped several folks get their license this way and all seemed happy with the process.
We are going to be putting together a licensing weekend. Stay tuned to social media!

Sign up on QRZ.COM and practice on the sample tests. https://www.qrz.com/hamtest/
It helps if you have some basic understanding of simple electrical theory or RF but not critical. I just kept learning by doing the tests (they're random questions from the pool, and it'll keep track of how you do). Having some training manuals will help too.

hamstudy.org is a great resource. The smart flashcards are awesome and it has practice tests
Just trying to get started. Basic first
That's a nice one! Are you going for the General license then?
