I picked up my HAM license awhile back (KI7MHO). Studying the test and passing was easy, but getting the hang of using the HAM and it's features, not so much.
Anybody willing to meet me somewhere Edmonds one of these days and help me? We leave July 31... I have free time through then.
A Snoqualmie Valley Club, SnoVARC, does a new user net every Tuesday. The repeater is on Cougar Mountain near Issaquah, and I know people from Arlington who check in. If you have a location in Edmonds with a south view you should be able to make it. It is a good low pressure opportunity to make mistakes without being judged, and ask questions or try new things.

Let me know if it doesn't work out with Scott. I won't be available until next week.
That'd work perfectly! The next two days are pretty open for me!
Hey Jason - I'm happy to help you out - could meet in person, or better yet - over the radio !
I've got time this week to chat in the evenings. I'm not an expert, but I know a little bit about APRS and 2m/70cm coms.
Sure… What days are you available and how far South? We leave on July 31 to CO before our big move to SA. I don't have too much going on (status: hobo); I'm pretty open for the most part.
If you want to meet somewhere further south I'd be happy to help you out.
