I am a new ham operator. I have a question as to offroad antennas for 2 mtr. Has anyone used glass mount units? I have drilled several holes in my Heep, but like the ease and pain free instalation of these glass mnt units. Any feedback?

I'm a big fan of NMO mag-mount antennae bases - the ground plane, if you put the antennae on your roof, is massive and unobstructed by the cab, in that position. Easy to tilt on side or remove if you're bush-whacking. The other option is a fixed mount on your roof rack, grounded to the frame with a grounding strap.
