Hello. Been a while since I frequented NWOL forums. But I’m coming back because it’s such a nice place, and because I’m branching out in my vehicle choices, so I need a place that isn’t exclusively Land Rover.
After 20 some odd years with nothing but Rover, I’m going to add a G-Wagen to my fleet as my daily driver. This will mean selling my 110, and finding a needle in a haystack. But I’m hoping there are enough G owners here to be able to live in both worlds. I’ll be keeping the primo 1998 Disco I that my kids drive, and my ‘65 IIa SWB. But it’s time to level up to something with better engineering, AC, and a few other niceties for my daily/long adventure drives.
I do most of my exploring in Central Oregon, and I already know a few of you on this site, so maybe we’ll get together on the trail sometime. Although, this summer is almost spent, and going back to work (high school teacher) is always a big door shut on getting out much till next spring.
I’ll post up some photos soon.
I would love to chat with him if you can send over his contact info!
Thanks, Ben!
Dan
Hey, Dan
I've got a friend in Gresham who imports them if you're interested in RHD. Can't quote an exact price, but they list in the low $20s for something that is WAY better equipped (from factory) than any Defender ever was. I'm currently in a toss-up... It depends on what I've had for breakfast on whether I'm going to keep my '95 Classic LWB and finally build the RRC I've always wanted, or swap the cash straight over into a G-Wagen. I need the G that I've looked at to just sell to someone else so my mind will be made up for me!
Hi Ben!
It's great to have you back on board. I will keep my feelers out for a G Wagen if I come across one.I am seeing them more and more these days.
As soon as I have the Jeep paid off, I am going to add another rig to my small fleet as well... Somehow.... Some way...
Hey Ben! Best of luck finding one. Looking forward to seeing what. you find and do with it.
Welcome back Ben.
