I've finally migrated over to the new site. Hey, I'm a little slow, what can I say! :P
I'm currently living in Bellingham. I moved out to Washington in 1994 from New England when I joined the USN and was stationed out on NAS Whidbey Island for 5 years. Fell in love with the area, and never left. After my stint in the Navy, my next 5 years were spent in Bellingham attending WWU. I'm currently working as a project scheduler with a contractor at a local refinery (past 11 years).
I've been a gearhead pretty much all my life, though I'm new to the whole 4x4 and overlanding thing. Never had much interest in rock crawling & mudding...but off tarmac adventures/camping...that's something different. Looking forward to getting out on some runs with the group and learning a whole new subject matter.
I picked up my '03 Grand Cherokee this past October after spending the better part of 9 months researching and looking at various options. This particular one seemed to fit the bill the best for my meager budget cap.
See you all at NWOR! Cheers!
We love having you a part of the team Chris! Thanks for being awesome!
Hey Chris - good to see you on the new site!
Welcome to the new mothership
Yep, already registered. I went last year (had my '96 GTi) and spent the time walking booths, absorbing at the seminars and kicking back around the bonfire. The event pretty much cemented my decision to find a rig. I've convinced a few more friends to come along this year. Going to be a grand time. Can't wait. :)
Welcome (again?) Chris. If it's not already on your calendar, you should definitely try and attend the Northwest Overland Rally at the end of June.
