Currently in the midst of a relocation of the corporate type and at least on the overland front it's a slightly bitter pill to be leaving Utah after 12 years. Perhaps made slightly more bitter by the challenges of securing a new home in the greater Seattle area, but I digress, we're coming in hot and looking forward to new adventures of the slightly more soggy type. If you see us out and about don't be shy.

Amazing photo!! Welcome to Wa!
Finding a home is def a trip in this area. Rory is a real estate agent if you need any free advice.
Cheers!
Dan, we're still a few weeks away from landing in the PNW. Once the dust settles I will def link up with you guys. Been a crazy busy few months but managed to squeak in some desert time before it's a much longer drive to get to

Hey there! Are you planning to pop by and say hi “tomorrow” at our Seattle meet-up? Love to meet you! Hope this week is treating you well!
Welcome! I've seen your rig before if I recall... Are you on ih8mud? We have a 2009 lx570 and love it. Your rig looks very well appointed. I'm sure we'll meet at an event.
WOW! Stunning photos... welcome aboard! This a pretty amazing community, so glad you found us! Be sure to let us know if you’re planning a trip (even if it’s only a couple of days out or a short day trip). Just submit it on the “Aventure” page and we’ll post it for you! Welcome to the team!
Nice pics!
Welcome. I lived in SLC for just over 3 years, working before/during/after the Winter Games. Very nice setup and pics.
I hear you. I'm currently shopping for a house myself. It's ugly out there. Best of luck with your search.
BTW; Your pictures above are amazing! Thanks for sharing.
Mike, we're def lucky as it's a good relo pkg, but the sticker shock is worse than people realize. Not only are prices high, but what people are willing to pay is insane. We've lost two houses in the past 10 days with cash bids well over full ask. One was 10% over and we weren't even close and it was a really neat property that is going to be a bitter pill for a while.
Welcome to the PNW! You're right about the real estate market in the Seattle area; it's crazy hot and getting hotter by the minute. Hopefully your Relo package includes your closing costs on both ends. That'd ease the sting a bit. Once you get past the sticker shock I'm sure you'll find a home that meets your needs.
Once you do, I'm sure it won't take you long feel right at home here. There's lots to do and see. The outdoor adventure potential is high. Don't let a little 'liquid sunshine' bother you. As they say, there's no such thing as bad weather, only inappropriate clothing.
Cheers,
Mike
Awesome! Glad you found us! We have meet ups scheduled and some great trips being poulated in the back end. Keep an eye out for them!
Dan
Cassidy, the trailer in the pics is a Turtleback Weekender. I bought it used from their rental fleet last summer to test trailer life. We'll be picking up our 2018 Expedition Model from Turtleback in a few weeks if that's indication of how we feel about traveling with it. ;-)
The biggest adjustment you'll have is the gray murky days, there can be a lot of them. As long as you can get out into the mountains, it'll all be worthwhile. Not near the colorful rock and canyon vistas of Utah, but incredible stuff all around. Plus you get to live with the 37+ varieties of moss around here :-)
Great photos! Thanks for sharing. Am hoping to see some Utah scenery myself soon. :)
Love the Utah area. We spent a lot of time down around Escalante as my family is from there. Which trailer are you towing? That is our next purchase.
