I'm not really new, though I've been away so long I might as well be. I wasn't in NWOL before Dan, but I did have grill badge 012, unfortunately lost when Thirsty the RRC was sold for parts after a bit of bother one New Year's eve in the Tillamook forest.

After Thirsty, I built Smokey, the 1984/1990 110, then moved to Tractor, the 1984 LC. In the last few years I've moved out of cages and put my overlanding life on two wheels, on the Iron Donkey, a 2003 BMW R1150GSA.

Along with being fond of old(er) vehicles, I fondly recall when forums looked like forums, not an "app." I was unable to type my post into the forum software, it kept moving my cursor around randomly. I finally composed this in notepad and c&p'd to post. That is going to make my posts infrequent, but they probably would be anyway, I'm mostly a hermit these days.
