Anyway - Here is my take on Glacier View Campground

This was the most beautiful place I never want to visit again.

Disclaimer: I camp to extend my journey - I don't journey to go camping. I want to drive interesting roads with some moderate obstacles and see amazing sights. I prefer to camp near running water where I don't see anyone outside my group.

The campsites had very little if any privacy.

Some campsites had designated parking, others had parallel parking along the road. Nearly all required you to schlep your gear 20 yards down into the campsite.

The mosquitoes were extremely aggressive. For me, they ruined the night. I went into my tent around 7:30, woke up at 4 and was gone by 5:00. My buddy from work was not the best choice to take either, but that's another story entirely. We had bug spray - it was ineffective. I've ordered some new stuff online.

If you like to hang out at a lake, go boating or fishing, this might be a great place for you - just be prepared to apply some Agent Orange every 10-15 minutes. :). Definitely very pretty, but not the right spot for me. I don't like to just hang out at a campground, I don't fish, and don't own a boat. I definitely don't like to see other campers unless they are part of my group.

Thanks again! Yeah we typically look for a similar experience. I've seen some great spots up Chiwawa River road but only explored in early July and the mosquitoes were THICK. Same with White River road on the other side of this lake, we had to go further east to get out of the swarms of killer skeeters. Know if they calm down in Aug/Sept?
