Might be a tall order but trying to keep my adventure buddy (aka wife) motivated :) Any good routes with dispersed camping along a river or lake? We’ve found lots of great meadows and vistas but have been striking out with water views. Preferably within 3-4 hours of the Seattle area.
Thanks in advance!
Glacier View Campground on Lake Wenatchee. Bring LOTS of bug spray - those little emmer-effers were aggressive.
Twin Lakes to the north of Mt. Baker is pretty out of the way.
I don't want to ruin the surprise of the adventure, but here are two more shots of the location. Camping is about 15 feet above water level and the rocky beach

West Bar across the Columbia River from Trinidad WA. Was there on July 6th and we loved it! Just make sure to bring insect repellent of some kind.....
Few FS roads go by water by design. There are a few places in Gifford Pinchot. A few in the olympics... less remote but there are several along skate creek road
We had found a couple of areas along the North Fork of the Teanaway River before the DeRoux Trailhead/campground. I "think" that area was spared from the fire a few years ago.
