It started with a plan to do out Trans-Nevada-Trek 2022 Adventure. Sadly, some participants got sick, had vehicle issues and had some family health crisis that prevented them from attending.
I already had the scheduled days off, so i decided to go out solo.
Day one was a quick jaunt to my office to pic up some product for a potential new customer, @superpacific USA. They are a pickup topper insert manufacturer based in Portland, OR. Very cool product, I encourage you to check them out...
I then headed down to my best friend's place in Cottage Grove Orego for the night, We go WAY back to Middle School. So to say the least we had a great evening together.
Today, I made my way to McKenzie Pass Scenic Bypass and came acreoss the most amazing sight. An observatory made from volcanic rock!
Pictures tomorrow!

Super Pacific Drop off:
I was able to drop off some lighting samples for our friends at Super Pacific in Portland on Monday. I also grabbed a wiring harness they would like Vision X to quote and make an offer to manufacture for them. Very exciting opportunity.
My Jeep at the Supoer Pacific facility in Portland.
I was able to meander down to Cottage Grove Oregon to spend an evening with my best friend from high school. We shared some beers and a few good laughs too.
The next morning, I headed East towards Sisters, OR. I took the route that paralleled me with the McKenzie River. A very scenic drive, but I was aiming to go another route. Fortuitously, this particular route forced me to take a wrong turn through a scenic drive up and over McKenzie and Santium Passes. Where I was greeted by an amazing display of high altitude lave fields! One particular highlight was the Dee Wright Observatory. This structure was made entirely of lava rock harvested from the surrounding area.

Suffice to say it was quite a treat!
