New trailer just arrived last week and I have been packing and tinkering and doing everything but driving it! Took it out on a day trip to 7720 near Rainier which essentially starts outside the town of Wilkeson. THIS is a cool tiny tiny town. Just in the middle of nowhere it has a cool bar and a coffee shop that is so hip, it would put Seattle to shame (and they are the friendliest folks ever--Nomad). The road climbs and climbs through a ton of forested areas in different states of foresting (It is technically called National forest development road 7720). The PNW constantly amazes how within 1000 yards you can drive through clear cut apocalypse, 20 yr growth tree farm and then an old spooky cedar forest.
As you climb, road gets a bit narrow and rutted and just when I was feeling slightly off roadish, a Subaru comes whipping down the hill at me. Lots and lots of shooting up there, but not lots and lots of cleaning up so the pull off areas are in pretty sorry states. Did not make it to the dead ends as I was a bit worried about having to back out with the trailer. Pretty country but dint see any "destination." but may have missed it as I turned about 3 miles shy of the ends (multiple choices)
Nice photos!
Cool trailer! Consider a bungee or something to keep the handle for the front wheel tucked up nice and high, out of harm's way, so it's not hanging down like that.
Welcome aboard davejason! What year Tundra?
