Didn't camp, stayed in a hotel while there, but I did a "quick" six day journey to the Mojave Desert with a friend with a similar Jeep to mine. We met up with a large group in Nevada and covered about 70ish miles in the desert. The next day went on the Two Leaf Trail near Vegas. The second day only covered a few miles, but it was a fun couple of miles. I had just taken the plunge with some pretty new upgrades, so this proved to be a fun "shakedown". In total, over 2500 miles.
Left is the first fuel stop in Burlington WA....
Somewhere in Southern Oregon
There were about 30 of us in the group on this part of the trip.
Day two was Two Leaf Trail. I think it was 8 Jeeps on this. A little anxious knowing that just a few hours later I would have to drive it 1200+ miles home.🤣. I didn't get a ton of pics but I'll share a few good ones. Definitely a challenge!
That is very interesting. We had a member that spent some time researching these Airmail beacons and documented them in their Flikr. You can find them on his Adventioneering Flikr Page.

It was my first time in the Mojave. The first day was led by a guy with a youtube channel who knows the area like the back of his hand. Lot's of really interesting things. One of the first stops was on top of a hill where there is a concrete arrow. I didn't know anything about them, but they were part of the US Airmail Beacon System.
Other really interesting stuff out there too. The goofy metal saucer thing in the pictures I posted is something like 30 miles in to the desert.
It was definitely up there. The video my friend found on youtube says it's the hardest trail in the Las Vegas area, but I imagine there are a few other hidden gems around there.
Dang!
That looks like a fun trip, @Kevin Graham! How would you rate the Two Leaf Trail? Looks like a 4-5 out of 5 in technical ability?
