The time of year has come that my old bones are no longer able to adventure in the cold wet of our great state. A term used by my family for many years is "time to Winter Down". This in mind, today was my day to winter down. Packing and sorting the adventure gear, cleaning things so they will be ready for better weather when it comes... The pictured shelf is one of what will be two stacks, the second, will be for bulkier gear such as bedding, coolers, tables and such. The T3 has gone into hibernation for the winter.
I am really looking forward to some off season coffee shop/pub meet ups, but that's about as much adventure I can do in the off months.
Over the winter, I'll be making improvements and modifications to the T3 and my gear.
Kinda hoping to have a few donations over winter so I can build a solar system and have a powered fridge for next season. A cooler, even with dry ice is not a food safety guarantee when we take kids from the outreach out. Not so much a worry when I go solo since I usually do dried foods and such, but with kids, I need to store a lot more food safely. I also want to pick up a fox-wing awning and fabricate a mounting system for that. Lots to do off season, just did the measurements, I can actually open my tent inside of my garage.
