Seasonal road closures within the north zone of the Salmon-Challis National Forest have already begun and will continue for the next few months.
Seasonal route closures are designed for wildlife security and reproductive habitat, to provide increased hunting opportunities away from motorized areas, to protect roads and to increase public safety, according to a news release from the Forest Service.

Closures planned for Sept. 30 include Roads 127, 128 and 170 in the Stormy Peak area and Roads 183 and 406 in the Moose-Dump Loop Route area. Those roads are in the Salmon-Cobalt ranger district.

On Nov. 15, four roads in the Forney-Moyer area of the Salmon-Cobalt district close. They are Roads 6032, 6035, 6036 and 103.
