Had a desire for a flood light for camping in the woods. I seem to always show up at night to my camp spot and usually am fiddling with trying to set up in the dark.
Here is my build:
Paint roller
Remove roller, drill holes in light bracket
Search boxes of random parts in shop and find old sway bar bushing and small hose clamp.
Attach to extendable paint pole
Here is the result. Solar powered, rechargeable, remote controlled, extendable height flood light. I got this off of Amazon for $50ish. Comes with solar panel, light with internal battery and remote. Charge while drive during the day with solar mounted on roof rack. Set up in camp on rig or tree. Light for hours. This is only 30w so not crazy bright but for $175 you can get much brighter versions.
Very resourceful
