If that right round tube intersecting the corner of those rectangle tubes is structural, that definitely needs to be rewelded. Minimal penetration on what little weld is there.

I am thinking of trying incorporate this bed setup i have from my ranger to the trailer. Just need to figure out a cover so in the rain it won't get the wood wet....hmmm

The slider has a cover that comes off for storage.

Put the trailer in the garage at the request of my wife :) She is incredibly patient with my "stuff" but the looks of this were just too much. :)

Pulled the wheels off and bearings seem fine. I was not using my head and realized the bearing are not "trailer" axle bearings but rear truck axle bearings. Not worried about them. Took a good look at the under neath of the trailer. Lots of surface rust but not really much rusted through areas. One area on a frame rail has a hole. Will patch/weld that. The tongue are has some ugly welds (not that I am much better) but I will address those.

Going to put some air shocks on this I think, pressure wash the heck out of it. Then figure out the "paint, bedliner coating stuff".

The above picture is really the only "weld repair" that is needed. Probably would be fine but would feel better knowing it was patched

Here are the welds in the tongue area. Probably will hold but I will try and clean them up a bit.

Got some truck racks off cl for really cheap. Need to be 36inches apar for the tent...i think. Will remove the kayak attachments and cut/weld the top of them to mount the tent. Going to take off wheels tomorrow and check bearings and what not. This still has the drum brakes with cables attached. Trying to figure out how to attach a hand ebrake on the front to set the trailer when parked.

It will be slow but will start with basics. Bearings, lights (going to try and get the originals to work), some welding on the frame. Will sand it down and paint or wrap myself. Going to pickup some truck bed racks tonight for cheap. No hurry but will start soon.

We have all seen the prices of offroad trailers and I a pretty sure i can make this pretty useful for not much $.

Pretty sure I want to put my rooftop tent on it and have storage underneath. I like the rooftop tent but if I am staying in the same place for several days it is a bother to pack up the tent on the truck to explore each time. Also would like the option to use it as a trailer for stuff as well. Paid nearly nothing for it. Not rusty so could be cool.

What are your plans for it?
